Care of the Elderly

This course aims to provide the students with the knowledge and basic skills that are required to identify social, psychological, and physical changes and problems of the elderly. It also aims to provide students with the capabilities and abilities to provide the appropriate nursing care for elderly people and help elders to have successful aging and improve their quality of life. Participants have the opportunity to practice their skills in settings designed for elderly living. Applicants must be 18 years or older to participate in this course.

Early Childhood Education

This course provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to work with children and their families in diverse settings.
The program will use a play-based approach, focussing on positive assets and strength-based perspectives. Practicums will be included and are designed to allow participants to apply theory to their practice in early childhood settings. The program will be offered in two levels. Each level will be for 12 weeks.

Electrical Installation

Designed to prepare individuals for a successful career in electrical installation, this course focuses on developing the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to perform safe and efficient electrical work. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on exercises, students will learn to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, ensuring they are well-prepared for industry certifications and employment opportunities.

Eyelash Extensions

This course will take you from novice to beginner to a confident lash technician. The lash industry is currently a U.S. $1.1B. Our main objective is to assist students with gaining the necessary knowledge and skills needed to build a successful career in the lash industry. Upon completion of this course, students are expected to understand the fundamentals of lash mapping, isolation, and the application of top and bottom lashes, apply classic, hybrid and volume lashes using the Nova lash technique, understand proper storage, sanitization, and sterilization procedures and gain business startup and marketing advice. Students should also learn product sourcing and service pricing and how to offer exceptional customer service practices. This course is offered over 4 intense weeks of practical work.

Hair Braiding

This course provides a fundamental working knowledge of nurturing textured natural hair, excellent natural hair care styles and hair braiding techniques. Participants are introduced to Sanitization, Professionalism, the technical and creative aspect of natural hair, and styling and grooming hair that is naturally curly, kinky, coarse, or multi-textured.
These skills will prepare the students with a strong foundation to develop and specialize in natural hair and prepare them for future studies in the professional arena.

Soap & Herbal Products Making

In this course, students will gain the knowledge of how to incorporate herbs into handmade cosmetics for both skin and hair. Introduction to medicinal herbs, understanding their benefits for hair and skin. Some of these products range from Lip balms, Ointments, Salves, Infused oils, Body butters, Hair oils, Natural deodorants, Hair Grease, and Sugar scrubs. With this knowledge, students can go on to create natural and medicinal products for hair and skin.

Make-up Artistry

This Beginners Course will help students master many important techniques that professional Make-up Artists use to create contemporary looks in their everyday work. After completion, students will be able to enhance their very own beautiful features and express themselves creatively. Some of the areas covered include proper sanitisation and hygiene, understanding makeup tools, care, and use for best results, the use of colour theory principles, highlighting and contouring technique, eye shapes and eyeshadow placement, and more.

Nail Technology

This is offered at the Beginner and Advanced levels. Beginners Nail Technology examines the basic theoretical and practical aspects of nail Technology. The course is therefore theoretical and practical. Hence, the course will be conducted through lectures, practical sessions, in-class activities, and fieldwork. Regular class attendance is encouraged. Advanced Nail Technology seeks to familiarize the students with the different types of overlays and how to apply such. The course is largely practicum-based. The students must therefore pass both the practical and theory of the course to receive a certificate.

Pattern & Dress Making

The purpose of this course is to offer instruction in garment construction to develop the underpinning knowledge of what is required in production. Instruction will extend to textiles, fabric lay, fabric cut, garment construction, pattern making, pressing, and finishes. It will also instruct students in the development of key principles for the fit of a garment. The ultimate goal is to enable learners to develop an understanding of producing and delivering finished garments to fit and meet the needs of the user.

Plumbing

Our plumbing course offers a thorough introduction to residential plumbing systems. Participants will learn about plumbing codes, water supply and drainage systems, fixture installation, and troubleshooting techniques. The curriculum includes both theoretical instruction and practical exercises, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of plumbing principles and practices.

QuickBooks

This Introductory Course is designed to train participants with little or no skills, knowledge, or experience in the use of QuickBooks Desktop Pro accounting software to record business financial data. Participants will develop and/or expand their knowledge, skills, and affective competencies to perform basic data entry and bookkeeping using QuickBooks. This 20-hour (10 Sessions) course covers accounting basics, setting up a new company, tracking revenue and expenses, recording deposits, and producing reports. We aim to enable participants to improve their performance and increase effectiveness at work. The process will include teaching sessions (with teaching aids), demonstrations, discussions, Q&A sessions, and opportunities for practice with handouts and various assessment tools.
